Neville Callam is the General Secretary of the Baptist World Alliance, which represents over 47 million people in 200 countries. Callam was born in Jamaica to a committed Baptist family, his father a deacon and his mother involved in other ministries. Callam has also enjoyed a career in the media. Maryse Condé is the award winning author of more than twelve novels, including The Story of the Cannibal Woman, Crossing the Mangrove, Segu, Who Slashed Celanire's Throat? and I, Tituba: Black Witch of Salem. She retired from Columbia University in 2004 as Professor Emeritus French. She lives in New York and Paris.
